INSURANCE

This clinic offers both in network and out of network services.

STCVPN serves many families as an out-of-network provider, which means payment is the responsibility of the patient. You will be offered a good faith estimate (GFE) so there are no surprises about your financial expectations. Payment methods such as HSA card, FSA card, or a credit/debit card are processed through the patient portal.  Insurance companies will sometimes reimburse you for a portion of the amount paid or for all of the amount paid for out-of-network services, but STCVPN cannot guarantee this.

STCVPN serves some families as an in-network provider. This means STCVPN contracts with some insurances for services.  In this case, STCVPN sends a claim for services to the contracted insurer.  Your insurance might pay all or some of the claim at the contracted rate. In most situations there is a combination of copay, coinsurance, and/or deducible.  That is, even with in-network services, you may be responsible for copay, coinsurance, and/or deducible. Your balance due will be visible in your patient portal after the insurance has been processed. Payment methods such as HSA card, FSA card, or a credit/debit card are then processed through the patient portal.

Due to the Change Healthcare incident processing of claims may be delayed significantly.
