INSURANCE

This clinic offers both in network and out of network services.

STCVPN serves some children as an out-of-network provider, which means payment is the responsibility of the patient. You will be offered a good faith estimate (GFE) so there are no surprises about your financial expectations. Payment methods such as HSA card, FSA card, or a credit/debit card are processed through the patient portal.  Partial payment will be collected on the date of the first in appointment. Remaining balance will be collected on the date of the final appointment: when the written documentation is provided. You will be provided a statement to provided to your insurance.  As with all out of network services, insurance companies might reimburse you for a portion of the amount paid for out-of-network services, but STCVPN cannot guarantee this.

STCVPN serves some children as an in-network provider. This means STCVPN contracts with some insurances for services.  In this case, STCVPN sends a claim for services to the contracted insurer.  Your insurance might pay all or some of the claim at the contracted rate. In most situations there is a combination of copay, coinsurance, and/or deductible.  That is, even with in-network services, you may be responsible for copay, coinsurance, and/or deductible. Your balance due will be visible in your patient portal after the insurance has processed the claim. Balance due will be visible when you login and you can make payment in the portal. STCVPN will process payment automatically as discussed in the intake paperwork and agreement. Payment methods such as HSA card, FSA card, or a credit/debit card are acceptable.
